We live in the Midwest where winter occurs!

Every local broadcast is leading with a "Winter Weather Advisory". It's amazing that winter weather occurs in the winter. Every year it is a great surprise to many people that it gets cold & it snows. This morning we were going down a fairly good (with respect to snow / ice) road & there were 4 cars in the ditch in a 1 mile stretch with 2 police cars with their lights flashing. I was going less than the posted speed limit so I did not have any trouble.

As people get older they appear to complain more about the cold; hence the exodus of people to the south. My particular complaint is about too hot & muggy weather, I figure that you can always put on another layer but there is a limit to how much you can take off.

There was a poll on a TV in the YMCA (where I work out a couple of times a week) that 45% of the people polled would move because of the weather. People have very short memories, to forget that winter occurs almost every year at this time.
