The reply is "He is Risen indeed!"
Today is Easter; this is the day that defines the Christian experience. Every Christian loves Easter. After the days of Lent; a depressing season of sacrifice. Our Church has soup suppers every Wednesday during Lent.
Then comes Maundy Thursday, the last supper where the traitor is revealed and the Lord washes the feet of the Disciples. Next is Good Friday and the Crucifixion. Our pastors tell us that the depressing days are necessary to get to the miracle of the Resurrection and the empty tomb.
That is obviously correct but in our want only good society, we don't like sad times to lead to the Joy.
He is Risen! He is Risen indeed!
